Part 4: Losing the Unalienable
August 28, 2007

The citizens know that they are losing the unalienable Rights of Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness but feel powerless and vulnerable.

Pseudo debates rage on television and radio where no tangible actions can or ever will be taken leaving a shell shock audience in their wake. People can see through the endless deception but feel powerless to act in any meaningful way.

Great orators, who belong in the Senate and Congress, are currently constrained to working in the media. They host shows where they express their opinions and positions on legislation, laws and political candidates.

Of course there are charlatans working in the media who are just playing to the crowd and reading lines that do not reflect their true beliefs, like our politicians. But there are some very strong advocates for many positions, right and left, liberal and conservative, and every shade in between.

This great resource is being wasted in America. These people have a front row seat to a political process that has been prostituted to the point that no normal person would engage in it by choice.

The people working in the media have direct contact with the hatchet men and women who hide behind the scenes and whisper rumors, fabricated stories, and embarrassing twisted tales that in most all cases hold no bearing on the matters at hand. But are designed to destroy anyone who gets in the way of whoever they may be working for at the moment.

Far more important than the few people who work in the media are all of the countless citizens who live in every neighborhood in the country. In every police station, firehouse, factory, office and church there is always at least one person who is held in high regard.

These good citizens don't advertise or campaign in anyway. The people naturally know who is the wisest and fairest among them. These good citizens don't charge for their assistance nor do they require special under-the-table favors for helping their fellow citizens. They should be sitting in Congress, as Congress was intended and designed by the Founding Fathers as the house of the people not a clubhouse of corrupt, self-serving politicians.

The only solution to these problems is to return to the Founding Father’s formula of 30,000 citizens per representative. This would give America approximately 10,000 representatives in Congress.

Many people will exclaim that 10,000 representatives are too many and ask, "Where would they sit? How would they communicate or get anything done?"

Today it’s very common for large companies to have groups of 10,000 or more who are effective, communicate regularly with each other and accomplish tangible goals as does the US armed forces and many church congregations around the country.

Congressional districts of 30,000 are small enough that anyone who has the desire to run for office can. The money and logistics required are negligible. No amount of advertising can overcome the local knowledge of the people – if an individual is of suitable character to represent them.

Many good citizens are electable in congressional districts of 30,000 but not in ones of 600,000 or more. Members of Congress are supposed to reflect the local desires and values of the citizens not some type of a hybrid.

The few good citizens who do run for any public office rarely have a chance of winning a seat in Congress or any other higher office unless they are allowed to join and then be controlled by the one party system we have today in America. The Democrat and Republican political machines shut them out if they won't swear allegiance to one or the other. The common enemy of both the Republican and Democratic parties is the candidate who is not a member of either party.

This is not democracy. This is something that was never intended by the Founding Fathers. It is a system that serves the people who are insiders and disregards the citizens at every turn. The political system in America has been arranged by the people who are in office to keep holding both elected and appointed office until they die, with no easy way to remove them. This is not how democracy works.

For example, Robert Byrd has been a US Senator from West Virginia since 1959 and he is 90 years old. A man so far past his prime that his children are past theirs. He was a member of the Ku Klux Klan before he became a Congressman in 1952. His current stated reason for joining the KKK was, "I thought the Klan could provide an outlet for my talents and ambitions." The key words in his statement are, "talents and ambitions." Self-serving politicians have endless ambitions for themselves and the talents needed to get re-elected. But none of either for the nation or the people they serve.

Robert Byrd has been a US Congressman or Senator from West Virginia for almost 60 years. I am sure by any measure, that young racist man from West Virginia has by now had his political ambitions fulfilled and has fully explored where his talent lies. Unfortunately, the people of West Virginia have not done anywhere as well as Senator Byrd has.

West Virginia is one the poorest states in America. Wikipedia states, "The economy of West Virginia is one of the most fragile of any U.S. state." According to US Census Bureau data, West Virginia is the third lowest in per capita income, ahead of only Arkansas and Mississippi. It also ranks last in median household income. The proportion of West Virginia's adult population with a bachelor's degree is the lowest in the US at 15.3%. The people of West Virginia have not been served by Senator Byrd serving them but I am sure Senator Byrd has had his ambitions satisfied.

It’s the same outcome wherever entrenched politicians and civil servants are found.

The last Chief Justice of the Supreme Court William Rehnquist with 33 years on the court ended up dying in office at the age of 80. He was addicted to Placidyl the very day he was sworn into the Supreme Court. Placidyl causes the patient's mind not to function within the confines of reality.

All that truly matters from a physical perspective with any judge is that first, his brain is normal and second, his mind is clear. Being a drug addict puts the first into question and the second, is clearly not present.

Rehnquist could not have gotten a job working as a security guard at the Supreme Court because he would have failed the drug test, but he became a Supreme Court Justice. Supreme Court Justices don't have to take drug tests but the janitors who clean their restrooms do.

Our current Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts clearly fails on the first point as he does not have a normal brain. He suffers from brain seizures and is most likely being treated with anti-seizure medication. There is no way to know for certain because Federal Judges are not required to disclose their medical conditions to the public. Anti-seizure medications has a wide variety of side effects like confusion, difficulty thinking, behavior changes, and insomnia - all things that effect how one's mind works so he also fails on the second count.

In a country with over 300 million people we have not had a Supreme Court Chief Justice with an indisputable normal brain and mind for over 35 years. This is not what the Founding Fathers expected when they created the Supreme Court. They envisioned the very best of our people to sit on this court. It interprets the laws and is the third part of the triad that and creates the balance of power of the Federal government in America.

With a federal court system run by such people it should not be surprising that federal law enforcement long ago entered the world of the surreal.

J. Edgar Hoover's time at the FBI ended up being 48 years of the blackmail of a succession of Presidents, Senators, Congressmen and other federal and state officials. Hoover was an egomaniac that cared only about him self. He also appears to have been a sociopath who was impossible to get rid of and died in office at the age of 77.

Hoover looked for dirt on and crimes committed by every politician that crossed his path. Politicians come from one of the lower classes where personal ambition and exploiting others without regard for the consequences and where anything is possible given the right set of circumstances and power. It was not hard for him and his FBI to build an unbreakable power position based on blackmail until death took him away.

The tenure of J. Edgar Hoover has done severe damage to the United States. Hoover and his FBI created an environment of mutual distrust that is within government at all levels to this day. He also created an environment where many people do not trust the government and with good reason.

If a President can be killed and his murder can become a form of entertainment no one is safe. There is not a person living in America who has not watched President Kennedy get shot over and over in every conceivable way from the actual video to assorted animations. The slow motion shot of the man's head exploding has been shown so much it no longer even shocks. Everyone knows what is coming.

Ask yourself, why is President Kennedy shown no respect as the President, a father, a husband, a son or a brother? His death has been exhibited and trivialized with endless television shows as if he has no value as a human being.

Imagine being a US President. You would always know that not only can they kill you and get away with it, but they will torment your family with unavoidable images of your death on television for the balance of their lives. Who is threatening the President of the United States year in and year out and why?

The day President Kennedy died may very well have also been the day the democracy died. Before President Kennedy's widow Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis died, she wrote a 500-page memoir of her life with President Kennedy but it is sealed away until she is dead for 50 years and both of her children have also died. What terrible secrets could that memoir contain that 50 years must pass and both of her children must be embraced by death? We have no way of knowing.

President Kennedy's personal life has been cast in such a poor light - like no other US President's is except for Richard Nixon. Dwight Eisenhower, Kennedy's predecessor had a life long girlfriend and his public life was a fraud. Additionally, Ronald Regan was clearly going senile in his second term. The only other US President who is regularly dishonored is President Nixon. Why? Was it Watergate? No.

After Hoover's death, Richard Nixon did not let the blackmailers at the FBI continue in the rampage of Democracy. Nixon stood up to them and pushed out Hoover's lover and heir Clyde Tolson, the associate director of the FBI. The FBI was intended to be part of Tolson's inheritance with W. Mark Felt becoming the second in command.

Instead, Nixon appointed L. Patrick Gray, a Justice Department official with no FBI experience as Acting Director of the FBI. This ended the out of control FBI and the political blackmail. W. Mark Felt remained Associate Director. Felt had been working at the FBI for 31 years and was well versed in blackmail, illegal spying and break ins.

To put things simply W. Mark Felt was a career criminal along with Clyde Tolson and J. Edgar Hoover. It is difficult to believe that the Watergate break in disturbed Felt in any way. It is not difficult to believe that Felt was angry and sought revenge against Nixon.

When Hoover died Felt personally oversaw the removal of Hoover's blackmail files. Nobody knows who ended up with them or where they are. After Felt was tried and found guilty for a few of his illegal deeds Ronald Regan had to pardon him.

One has to ask why Woodward and Bernstein of the Washington Post put the United States at risk by trusting Felt, a known criminal working at the FBI. Was it because they just did not care what happened to the United States or was helping their careers and the newspaper sells more advertising their only concern? Are they part of the FBI blackmail web? I do not know.

President Nixon is the only President who ever stood up to the FBI blackmailers and paid dearly for it. Nixon is regularly pilloried in the media as a man with no scruples. Felt, Woodward, Bernstein, the Washington Post and the Watergate Commission politically assassinated President Nixon, and all involved were only too happy to do it.

President Nixon with all of his failings should be hailed as the only President who was brave enough to stand up to the blackmailers at the FBI. To put things into perspective Presidents Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson did not and could not.
